What is the Rhode Island Festival of Trees (RIFOT)?
The Rhode Island Festival of Trees is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization founded by the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau. All organizational and operational control will be exercised by the Rhode Island Convention Center. Our General Manager, Timothy Muldoon, will take on the role of Show Manager for this valuable community event. The Festival includes a public display of approximately 100 one-of-a-kind, professionally decorated trees, a showcase of hand-crafted wreaths and additional holiday décor, daily musical entertainment by students from local schools, a festive holiday gift shop, an interactive Children's Activities area, and a spectacular Preview Party Reception, including live and silent auctions.

When and where is this year's Festival of Trees?
The Festival of Trees will take place at the Rhode Island Convention Center Friday, November, through Sunday, December 2, 2007. The Preview Party is Thursday, November 29, 2007 with advance ticket purchase only.

What is the mission of RIFOT?
The mission of the RIFOT is to present an annual state-wide, holiday event which will also help to raise funds for local non-profit agencies benefiting children, through measures of charitable contributions and donations.

How does the fundraising work?
All items, including trees, wreaths, raffle and auction items, and gift shop items are donated and up for sale. The profits from sales will benefit the local beneficiary. The festival will be funded primarily by local corporate sponsors, and will be organized by Committees comprised of a select group of community business leaders who are willing to volunteer their time and services in order to support our cause.

How can I help?
The Festival of Trees offers an opportunity for individuals, businesses, civic groups, and associations statewide to come together to help create a highly anticipated family event to benefit a worthy cause. Corporate and individual sponsors are necessary to assist with underwriting the event, as well as sponsoring and designing trees.
